Un paso más !!

Hola holaaaa my dear readers :) !!

Okey ... So right now I feel really tired; my arms feel super duper hiper sored after a killer swimming set . Swimming 3.5k after a month away from the pool felt brutal !! OMG I cannot even lift my arms :( However, tiredness is a good thing since you know your workout has kicked in :)
Perhaps some of you guys are wondering what has been going on with my life at this point. Needless to say, I am feeling really happy since I finally graduated :) Yesss.... hurrrrraaaaa !!! I cannot believe I am done with school, I am so grateful to God, my super parents and friends that were always looking after me; they believed in my capacity and encouraged me to keep on going throughout those 5 undergrad years. Seriousluy, thank you ... :)  :) :)

I had been doing a lot of running since May as well, however,  I learnt that sometimes you have to stop when your body says no. Sadly, I had to pull away for 3 weeks due to a knee injury :( It was so frustrating because I was feeling my fitness was coming back again but too much effort might turn out  into harming your own body (on my case, my knee was suffering too much and I could not even make a single stride =(  ..  ). Due to this situation, I decided to stop and rest for 3 weeks... Sometimes a rest suits up nicely to your body but I am so restless that i wanted to give my knee a fresh go on mid June, so I decided  I would just jog for 30  mins until i realised my knee was actually healing :).

My biggest feat came last Saturday, though !! My friends and I put our running shoes on and  headed to Carretera Panamericana to complete 26km, which has been the longest run I have ever made in my entire life!! I was happy my knee did not suffer and I could hang in with the guys almost the entire course :D . I got dropped on the last 5 k since the pace was lifted, but still, I was thrilled to have finished! I was unable to walk comfortably  for 2 days after such a long run but I am just thankful  I am able to do what I love and to have such wonderful training partners whom I can share my love for sports with =D

Apart from that report, I wanted to share that July seems to be a very exciting month !! I have no words to describe how much fun I had yesterday on the 4th of July celebration. I t was an honour to be part of it and I cannot believe I was in Yellowstone National Park exactly 2 years ago... How crazy huh!! I am so lucky and grateful to all the opportunities life has given to me and I personally feel really attached to such a wonderful Nation that was my home throughout one year. Living and studying in the United States was really special indeed!! Finally, I just wanted to highlight that I am planning to compete in a triathlon within 10 days... I have no idea of how It is going to go but I am so pleased I can do what I enjoy, makes me happy and keeps me healthy (as long as I dont fall off my bike nor have a flat tire, I´ll be pleased !!) so wish me luck !! :D

A quick note: I hope everyone is watching the Tour of France ;) Regardless your sporting fever, you MUST follow every stage of it jejeje.. My favourite guys are Edvald Boasson Hagen of course (sigh sigh sigh jajaja ), Marcel Kitel and Mark Cavendish !! I am sure these 2 weeks will be more than exciting !! :D
