Otra satisfaccion para el club IRON CHILDREN

Miss Misfortune

Thanks God i already finished the 2nd of three duties for this semester!! Sadly, this last time turned to be a misfortune for me :S... i don´t believe in bad luck but if you check out all my record in my practicum it is hard not to believe that there has been a bit of misfortune involved :(!!! Why do i say this?  I think it is not fair when i try to give my best effort and then i get a bitter result at the end. Yeaaa, that`s what happened today after teaching :[ . I feel soooo pissed off  and i still think it is not even fair that your tutor does not value your work, i know i am not perfect but sometimes you have a very possitive feeling when you know that things go exactly the way they should go, in the bottom of your heart there is something that tells you that you have done an excellent work. Furthermore, only ONE feedback was provided in the Second class of the period until NOW  that the rest of the feedbacks were given after i had finish my LAST class (thumbs down). How could i know my mistakes if my feedbacks were not even known ? The 3 classes of this period were done basically blindly!!!
Besides, i always arrived suuuper early whilst my tutor arrived just on time or few minutes LATE :( .
I am not justifying myself, though. I know that every class was a new chance to learn and share what i know with these guys that i learnt to appreciate.
Plus, i just don´t get why my tutor said that i  did not transmit enthusiasm to the students after having a class full of giggling, fun and lots of laughing among each other. I think that just because the students liked to participate does not mean that i am too passive. DUH!!! --->:S . Andddd Yeaaaaaa,agreeeeeee---> i share the opinion that teachers must be leaders but it doesn´t mean that i am going to raise my voice nor shrill out to the guys when they are  not paying  attention, there are other tactics that you can implement.

Overall, i think i had my faults as everybody did, but it doesn´t mean that you are going to be smashed so badly by your tutor even when they were also students in a determined time and they had to go through the same experience as me. There were some things that were just not necessary and adding that i had no previous feedback, i just performed the way i considered which i think was not perfect but at least it was very very veeeeeery acceptable since i noticed my students` reactions and the way they treated me.
At the end, i gave the last farewell to my students  who i consider unbelievable people that cooperated a lot, they never disrespected me and they were always kind and welcoming despite their short age. I wish i could work with them again. They told me that everything was perfect and also they thanked me for being their teacher for a while, therefore, that`s the final and most important reward that i can have in this 2nd mission even though i don´t accept my grades. But oh well, it was not up to me, sometimes you depend from others and i know that there are still a  millon of things to be learnt but  as i always say "just relax and get the best out of every single experience".

regards

Another plus!!!

Holaa!!!  there are lots of things i`m happy for =) ... Last Sunday´s race was just sizzling, i knewit !!!!!!!!!!!i saw this coming =]. Tavo  won again!!!!! it`s just crazy,,, 2 straight victories for him, yay!!!:] he seems unstoppable and hopefully he will keep up the same all over this year. It can tell that training has been paying off  for us, there are lots of things we must work on, though!!
For me this race was going to be a preview of how being involved in racing again feels like , i only swam 2km and ran  7km; i cannot say that i sucked at all, my arm barely hurt which is a bittersweet sign and i could manage to follow my sister`s feet when swimming, her pace was really fast in the 2nd lap that a gap of 15 seconds was gridged between us. When i got out of the water, i didnt seem smashed nor extramelly exhausted, so i can think that i am starting to get back to shape again. When you are injured, the best thing to be done is not to desperate and have the needed rest in order to follow a nice recovery, sometimes we want to rush and heal as fast as possible but when dealing with these kinds of injuries, patience is a key.
My sister also won the female division whilst my brother Raul was second due to cramps in the 1st lap of the run. My other teammates Jony, Miguel, Nataly and Castulo had a stunning performance as well. My coaches felt satisfied with our work, specially when seeing Tavo making  the classic breakaway on the bike and nobody could follow him :).
Needles to say, today´s  workout was just ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!! a super session in the pool  was waiting for us jejeje but i am happy that i could hang on and finish it without feeling the classic fatigue !!! i am not strong nor fast enough to keep up Tavo´s pace, though,, my lacking of strenght, endurance, and  training for almost 8 months still shows up..
Now, my arms still feel quite sore but that only means that training has kicked in..

And there is one more left!!

Mission 3 has been completed last Wednesday and i am so surprised how fast this period has gone so far!! i always say "Time is your worst enemy", and out of a sudden, i find myself stuck in the middle of tons of work, presentations and endless homework to be delivered quite soon :S, it´s just crazy!! but somehow it´s good to be under a huge pression so that you can give your best shot and at the end, the final outcome seems gratifying for you =)...
Well, moving to my weekly duty, i think Wednesday class was primarly based on a reading, stuff related with PDP and some good chat with the students, nothing that relevant happened i guess... Criss´s lesson plan was launched for the 1st time and i had to start it....Regardless a reading activity seems to be boring and annoying, i tried to make it different. I know most of the people here ESA don´t like to read not even write, but i have learnt there are many alternatives in which you can cheer others to start like and enjoy  these wonderful 2 habits, therefore, i had the students  guess the main essence of the reading  just by skimming the title only. Since they are very smart, they figured the reading was related with what they had thought previously. =)After reading aloud  (boys and girls separated from one another), unknown words were found, a following exercise was correctly done and out of the blue my time had ended!!!
Furthermore, there is still something i would like to share , do not make fun of me, though!! When the class was over, i gave my weekly farewell to the guys jeje and as all the past weeks they have kindly said "bye teacher, thank you.........." but this time something curious happened; as soon as i approached the door i heard something such as : "bye bye teacher, we love you " and i was like -----> :O, i must point out that they were not rude nor disrespectful towards me, but oh well i took this in the good sense !! but i can`t help saying they made me blush  jijijiji....fortunately they did not see my face!!!!
Feedback has not been provided since the 1st time nor grades, consequently i feel blind regarding to my scores. =( I think i did a great job since nobody got bored despite the class was all about the reading (as  what i noticed!!) but nobody knows whether i am moving forward or backwards.

cheers

Great performance for Club Iron Children

Congratulations to my TEAM IRON CHILDREN  for their performance in Guatemala. Raul Zavaleta was the absolute winner in the Junior Elite division as well as my older brother Tavo Zavaleta who won the 2nd place in the U23 division, despite the cramps he suffered, he had the guts to keep running and finish the race in second!!! Jona Amaya completed the podium in 3rd and Miguel Arana was 4th.. In the female division, Junior Elite  Stefani Zavaleta had a stunning performance placing 5th place despite the judges unfairly disqualified her. Nataly placed also 5th place in 14-15 division. Their performance show the hard work of our coaches and us. Congrats Way to go guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2nd period Halfway !!!

Heeey!!!!!!!! maybe you can tell  that i`m becoming a blog fan jejeje and that`s totally true i think :), i always liked this whole thing about bloging but now i just  enjoy it more. Being  alone with myself and my  thoughts makes me reflect more about my actions in life. Besides training, i`ve realized that this has become my second hobby :) and it turns even more exciting knowing that there are lots of people who take their time to  read my thoughts, feelings and experiences (good, bad, ashaming, exciting, hideous, etc), so beforehand i just want  all my readers to know how much i appreciate it. :) thanks !!! =)
Ok,  moving to another atmosphere, yesterday was my second (of 4 times)time  i performed. Last time i posted i said i would expect a good score and actually it was well acceptable, not the best, though. It seems that i`m climbing a step every week because i do not tend to be nervous nor frightened anymore, those thoughts full of negativity have just dissapeared and i always remind to myself that  this is just my weekly duty and i must try to give my best shot!! there`s nothing to be worried about :) and as time flies by sooo fast, out of a sudden i´m in my halfway semester which is almost one foot in the finish line.
Furthermore, i feel more confident whilst being in a classroom in charge of almost 27 students who are just beggining  this long journey, therefore, when seeing their faces and actions, i just remember when i was a freshman and how well my teachers have treated me, so i just want to do the same with them and try to make them feel confortable with me, likewise i always try to build a healthy learning enviroment since everybody`s learning from each other, thus, i think i am going to feel satisfied with myself. :)
Finally, what i liked the most of yesterday`s class was that my tutor felt happy with a final  activity i did, thanks God!!!:)  I also liked the way my feedback was provided since you can tell the pose and intention of how things are said. Unlike my first feedback last period, i personally appreciate what my tutor said this time: "Even though your voice tone is low, the students pay attention and seem interested in your explanations, well done Sonita"  jejeje
Saying this i just hope i get a better score this time :)

Nature hits our world again ★---> "RESPETO A NUESTRA MADRE NATURALEZA QUE SE ESTA HACIENDO OIR"

Again!!! Nature has shown the world how vulnerable and helpless we are :(....... My prayers for all the Japanese reisdents that were afected and lost their beloved ones by this hazard ❤ !!

Bring on Season II

Hello amigos!!! Exams are over so a new process starts again, for me it means  another opportunity, another chance that help us  show our knowledge and reach our final aim this year...to become professionals and succeed in life!!
So, this period is crucial for us since it gives you a more general idea about what our final output will be like at the end of the semester!!! What makes me happy is that this period we must accomplish exactly the same activities we had the previous one which makes this whole thing easier for us, it doesn`t mean that i am going to back up, though!!!! Talking about my practicum, i still don´t know what to expect despite i had my first experience of this period. Last Wednesday i started the duty again and overall, i think it went pretty good, i personally consider i had a good start unlike last period where i was basically sliced up by my tutor (dislike!!!!!!!!!).
This time i had some different issues but thanks God i was able to get through them!! The first issue, the lesson P. wasnt sent on time but until Monday Midnight !!! Tuesday morning i received an e-mail and i was basically warned ---> my tutor said to teach on Tuesday (and the class was ging to be at 9:00am which means NO TIME)or to choose between Wednesday or Thursday, otherwise, my grade was going to be LOST :( so i had to drop out my plan and make up a plan "B", i had no choice than just teach on Wednesday :S ...  I wanted Tuesday since the schedule is more flexible but anyways the good thing is that loved my performance on Wednesday despite i don´t like to be teaching at 11:00!! but oh well, for my grade i would be able to adapt myself to any enviroment it is presented jajaja.
I arrived very early and 15 min. before the class the students were arriving, the teacher arrived some minutes after!! I was introduced to the new group of people i am going to be responsible for and as normal they were staring me, studying me (the "stranger")....and as always i tried to give them a good first impresion because you never know how these people will react in future situations.
I started to explain basic stuff ("telling time"), not that hard for them to understand, they followed everything i set for them which was good and i wasn`t nervous at all...As soon as i finished, some boys  started to say kindly "a clap for the teacher" and everybody clapped me cheerfully!!! I was like aaaaaaaawwww i like this group jejeje i hope they keep up the same kindness towards me... When finished, my tutor told me that my feedback will be given later :(
Overall, i thing i did a good job, somehow i am more mature and i also have learnt not to overstress myself nor being afraid of this challenge. As a conclusion, i would expect a good result, i am not saying everything was perfect, though  but you never know what your tutor`s thoughts are...

BTW!! i wanted to tell you that exactly a week ago we were invited to an event in the Uni, we were really lucky to have a lot of important people including authorities from the US Embassy, the event was a huge success!!

Creating a Blog!!!

Hello!! this quick post is dedicated for the ones who would like to share their experiences but they don´t know how to do it!! Well, nowadays we are witnesses about how technology is affecting our society, consequently, we can`t avoid it. In fact, blogging is a good and innovative way to write down our personal experiences, anecdotes, thoughts and even our homework can be done from our own house. Today it is not strange seeing teens and university students using this useful tool that technology offers.
That´s the reason why i want my readers to check these steps that lead you to create a blog. It is simple, innovative and  you wont consume so much time.

1.) Stay on topic.
Opinions are generally accepted but the content of the items in the blog should all relate to a general theme. Unless you have an uncanny knack for wit, humor or cynicism, the majority of your readers will be interested in the content that relates to a specific defined theme or loosely defined area of interest.

2.) Stay informative.
If you are attempting to create the impression that you are knowledgeable about a specific industry or sector, be sure that you stay current on news. In simpler words, keep yourself updated!

3.) Old news is not news.
While blogging every day can be a drain, it is important that the information presented is current and accurate, writing an article or blurb about something that happened 6 months ago, will not be of interest to many.

4.) Adhere to a schedule.
Create a schedule and stick to it. Realizing that blogging requires time and effort, don't create unrealistic expectations and be unable to deliver.

5.) Clarity and simplicity.
Keep your posts and blog entries clear and easy to understand. Remember, the web is global and expressions, idioms and acronyms don't always translate. It is good thay you put your own taste and style, though.

6.) Keyword-rich.
If the goal of your blog is to increase your visibility, include related keywords in the title of the blog. Use the title as a headline to attract interest. Each item post should have a title that will attract attention but still be relevant to the post.

7.) Quantity matters.
In order to attract the attention of search engines, you will need to develop content and substance. A headline or simple sentence is not going to generate the interest of readers or help with search engine ranking. Be sure to archive old blog posts to develop a large portal of similarly-themed content.

8.) Frequency.
If your blog content is updated frequently, search engines will tend to spider the pages at regular intervals.

9.) Spell checking and proof-reading.
It only takes a few extra moments and can save you from having to make embarrassing explanations. Remember that whatever you publish on the Internet can be found and archived. Think carefully about what you post before doing so.

10.) RSS.
RSS will increase your blog's reach. It is important that you include your blog's content in an RSS feed to increase readership and distribution.
Most weblog audiences are small, but with time and regular updates audiences grow. Bloggers may never have more than a few hundred readers, but the people who return to regularly are generally interested in what you have to say.

There you have, and i personally encourage you to start following the steps above and just beging typing =)!!  You will also have people who will be interested in what`s going on in your life. Also you can decorate it the way you want... Then, what are you waiting for? and just take advantage of what technology offers us :)

SEE YOU SOON :]

Buenas sensaciones !!!

Holaaaaaaaaaaaaa amigos!!! aaasshhh ive been so busy that i dont know where to start....ok well this is a quick post, though!!!!!!!!!!!! There are things im happy for!!!!!!!!!
Little by little my fitness is coming back again, ive been swimming for 4 weeks and i struggled a bit the first week, as soon as i hit the pool i felt so insecure that i was thinking about my poor smashed arm in every stroke.....My coach says that i dont have to rush in order to avoid to injury myself again, therefore, he just focuses in my swimming technique and not in how fast i am so i don`t have so much pressure taking over me... Today i swam around 4.5km  800 easy 800( 100m pullx 100m drill) 10x50 (25 easy 25 fast), 5x150m race pace, 5x100m race pace and finally 10x50 race pace ..it seems tough but in my case the aim was not to overforce my arm and just mantain a constant pace without pressuring myself...
At the end of my workout i felt so smooth which is a good sign for me :)........today in the afternoon my arms started to hurt but not because of the injury but the tiredness had kicked in!!!
Tomorrow i have to get up at 430am since i have to run at 5am !! then i have my teaching practicum at 11 but im prepared already for my duty jejeje =) ...

Okay amigos apologizes for you but im tired of typing now jajajaja and i feel very sleepy so i think im gonna hit the bed right very soon... tomorrow is Miercoles de Ceniza and this is waiting for me===> run +duty+uni

Post soon

Cheers
