Mitt første post i fremmedspråk :D

I am super nervous i am finally doing this!! So, since i love languages, I have been giving a shot to one of my favourite ones. Languages spoken in Scandinavia are super interesting and beautiful to me (clarifying that i am not saying that other languages are bad nor ugly because all languages are beautiful in their own way ). Therefore, I decided that I want to try something like Norwegian!! I know i am far out from learning it unless I move to a Nordic country ajajaja, but at least, I want to learn to start putting words together and build sentences. It is hard but somehow I think I am doing pretty well, at least regarding the basics and greetings jajaja
So I will try to write something and tons of apologises if I am mispelling a word or something sounds non-understandable!!

Hei mine venner!!

Okey!! This took me a while but It´s def worth trying ! Hopefully, someday I will improve my Norwegian skills ahead in the future :) jajajaja

Tussen Takk for leser mine blog!! :)

Life´s Beautiful ...

Huge Greetings to my followers!!!

I know its been a while since I last posted :( I apologise for that, seriously, a lot has been going on these last 2 months. First of all, I happily say that I finished my first competitive triathlon 2 weeks ago. I cant believe I had the strenght to get out there and race again :) . I had been constantly training for the last two months so I knew I had to do a good performance. Here you have some of the highlights.
The race took place in Lago de Coatepeque, which is one of my favourite spots in the world, I knew I had been swimming  a lot since March so i figured i was going to have no issues when starting the race even though open water swimming courses are very difficult and annoying, specially in the first 300 mts.The horn went off and the chaos started !!I knew I was going to suffer the first  200 mts because It gets really rough and everyone is punching, kicking, and splashing!!
I was near to cross the first buoy when some nasty swimmer just pushed me in and swam above me :( I was literally drowning and my swimming googles came off :( ; I felt so angry since I was trying to get my way out of the chaos and find some clear spots in order to pass the slower swimmers . After struggling for like 2 mins, I managed to get my googles back on place and continued swimming. I worked my way back and I suddenly detected one of my teammates´s feet , then, I just positioned myself behind him so he could pull me and bring me back to one of the packs in front of us.  We finally caught the pack and got out of the water,  grabbed my bike, which was the most painful part of that race. I literelly could not move forward, my legs felt empty and I could not respond to the other 2 girls´breakaways, It was a 4k hill and it turned endless for me, therefore, I could not catch any wheel :(.
I ended up riding solo the entire race and just gave my all in the run. I was feeling pretty good on the run but those girls just rocked their bikes!!!  However, I always tell myself that the race never finishes until you cross the finish line, so I just ran as fast as i could and  finished on the 3rd slot :)  I was so pleased and  full of joy whilst crossing that line that I couldnt ask for more!!! :D I believe i did a good job and that´s what counts for me!!!
I am looking forward to improving  my performance the next race. I know I have to adjust myself to do races again but I feel so grateful that i can  I still can achieve my sporting goals even though I dont race on an elite level anymore. Triathlon is such an important part of my life that It is hard not to practice it . So you (my readers) should give it a go too, just saying jejeje !! :D
On another note, June is almost here, which means that my graduation ceremony is closer than ever :D!!!!! Also, I am so grateful to be an active member of the US Dept. of State alumni; all the activities i have been involved throughout this year have been so valuable and I have to thank everybody who puts his/her confidence on myself. I have had so much fun and learnt a lot in all the events  the US Embassy in El Salvador hosts and I have taken part into, I believe these are opportunities and door openings for  Salvadoran youth  For example, their educational programs, scholarships, conferences regarding human rights and development, so valuable experiences I am so grateful for!!!!
One of the events I enjoyed the most was the earth´s day, when we headed to the beach to clean our shoreline and release turtles!!! Likewise, I am applying for jobs and internships so we will see what happens in the near future. Since I still have the idea of getting my masters, I have applied for a masters degree abroad and I am so happy to learn that 3 UK universities have extended me their offers (Uni of Leeds, Uni of Glasgow and Uni of West of England), nonetheless, I have not found scholarships, which is quite depressing (Bummer ) but It´s okey,I  wont give up jejeje !!! Anyways, I have tons of short/long-term plans and I have no clue whether they will work or not, however, I cannot wait to see what this year will be like yet  I am really thankful to be learning and having wonderful experiences !!
" Keep Smiling and do not stop trying " Thats what  I always say  :)
